Peter Hadorn has spent over 20 years building websites, running digital marketing campaigns, and studying how search engines decide what to show people. That career started with hand-coded HTML in the early 2000s and evolved through every major shift in search: the rise of Google, the mobile-first transition, the local SEO revolution, and now the emergence of AI-powered search.
When AI search engines began recommending businesses instead of ranking websites, Peter recognized a fundamental change in how buyers discover companies. Traditional SEO metrics could not measure AI visibility. Existing tools could not score AI readiness. The gap between where businesses appeared in Google and where they appeared in ChatGPT was enormous, and growing.
So he built the infrastructure to measure it.

The Market Shift That Created This Company
Between 2024 and 2026, the way people discover businesses changed faster than at any point since Google launched.
AI search traffic to US websites grew 10-12x in eight months (Adobe, 2025). ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini began recommending specific businesses by name in response to buying-intent queries. Google itself started replacing organic results with AI Overviews that synthesize answers and name preferred providers.
But the data revealed something most businesses missed: AI does not use traditional search rankings to decide who to recommend. SOCi analyzed 350,000 business locations in January 2026 and found that ChatGPT recommends only 1.2% of them. The correlation between traditional SEO success and AI visibility was weak.
